Alleyn Park

This large suburban garden on heavy clay had an uneven slope near the house which became lethally slippery in wet weather. We created two levels, an upper terrace for entertaining and a wildlife-friendly pond below. Concerns about potential loss of mobility in later years prompted the inclusion of a ramp and a lawn of high-quality artificial grass on the terrace. The retaining wall is made of load-bearing interlocking blocks with cavities for plants which the clients had admired in Switzerland.
