Rosendale Rd

This client was adding an extension to his house with sliding glass doors providing an uninterrupted view of the garden. The floor level inside, side access way and garden were all at different levels, so we created a series of steps with planters and decorative brickwork to break up difficult shapes and maintain attractive proportions. The garden has one sunny side and one shady, so I designed the former border to be pink and bronze and the latter to be white and green with crossing arms at the edge of the terrace. Subtle garden lighting prevents the glass wall from becoming a black barrier at night.
